Tuscany Wine Distributor distribute five major wine styles offering a great

Sangiovese is Italy’s most widely planted grape variety. This grape thrives in Tuscany in limestone rich soils, developing complex flavors while maintaining acidity. Purists often view 100% Sangiovese wines as the epitome of traditional Tuscan winemaking.
Our wines include some of the best expressions of Sangiovese from Tuscany.
We have concurrent vintages of Brunello di Montalcino, the most prestigious wine in Tuscany, from 2016 onwards. We also have Rosso di Montalcino, a younger, lighter sibling to Brunello di Montalcino.
Chianti Gran Selezione is the highest quality designation within the Chianti Classico wine appellation introduced in 2014 to highlight exceptional wines meeting stringent production standards. Our Chianti Gran Selezione is an excellent, full-bodied, fine wine. If you prefer a lighter, fresher, alternative we also have the Annata, Chianti Classico.

Wine Tech SheetMerlots produced in Tuscany differ from their American counterparts mainly because of the local climate, soils and winemaking traditions. Tuscan Merlots are elegant, mineral driven and complex. The winemakers of old-world wines in Italy allow natural elements to shine rather than focusing on manipulating flavors. If you are new to Italian Merlot and are considering our wine, this is a must try.

The Mediterranean climate moderated by coastal breezes helps the grapes retain acidity, producing wines with a balance of ripeness and freshness.

Wine Tech Sheet
A Super Tuscan wine is a red wine produced in Tuscany using international grape varieties to create a complex single varietal or blended wine. It is usually characterized by blending the native Sangiovese grape with non-native grape varieties like Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah to produce innovative, bold, complex wine.
It is common for wineries to name their wines using their own wine name, for example, Crebesco , and include the region of production and not actually use the term Super Tuscan on the label. Consequentially, the three wines we offer are in fact Super Tuscans, but do not state that on the label.
The first “Super Tuscan” was created in 1971 by Antinori. This new wave of Tuscan wines originated to describe high quality wines that did not conform to the Italian wine regulations because they included international grape varieties.
The success of these wines forced the Italian wine authorities to revisit their regulations. A new classification of Indicazione Geografica Tipica, abbreviated to IGT, was created to accommodate these high quality, non-traditional wines.
However, two of the wines in our collection are considered to be Super Tuscan wines because of their flavor profile and structure yet are labelled DOC wines. In order to be labeled a DOC wine the producer must adhered to stringent DOC rules and regulations and as such want their wines to be recognized for this achievement.
Our Super Tuscan wines are all very different blends and aged for different periods of time resulting in an interesting and innovative collection to be explored.
